Yilmaz Gune_YOL

Yılmaz Güney, (1937 –1984), was een Koerdisch schrijver, scenarist, filmacteur en filmregisseur. Hij werd in Turkije veelvuldig tot gevangenisstraf veroordeeld vanwege zijn werk. Veel van zijn werken zijn gewijd aan de situatie van de gewone, arbeidersklasse mensen Turkije. Na het ontsnappen uit de gevangenis in 1981 en de vlucht naar Frankrijk, Güney won de Palme d'Or op de 1982 Cannes Film Festival voor zijn film Yol.   Caricature exhibition of the 5'th Koerdisch film festival in London, november_ december 2007
